My journey to create has been a wild one. I've hit my head plenty of times. Not just physically but mentally and emotionally. It's difficult to find an answer when your stuck in your head. Constantly thinking of your problems. But I've found something. Something all of us have the ability to find. You just need to ask the right questions.
The question of how to be somebody is no easy task to answer. I’ve seen many interpretations in my life but none are quite like my TRUTH. Everyone has a story to tell. And someone’s truth is often best to be heard and seen in their perspective.
Like you I’ve failed a lot in life. But out of all that failure come some of the best inspirational videos one can create. I used to watch hours and hours of the best motivational videos on YouTube. None of them are quite like this. The reason for that is because this video is my story. The start of a great journey always starts with a simple question. Who do you want to be?
Damian Lillard and Leadership
Building a winning culture ground up!
One would imagine it takes a lot to win a championship. Nowadays it seems the only way to get a championship is by manufacturing a team that will produce one. All you have to do is crunch the numbers, review the data, then make the right calls and voila! You have a super team in no time. There is something to be said though for Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard and his efforts to build a winning culture.
Earlier this month he convinced his team to give their playoff earnings to the staff altogether the team donated $223,864 to 25 staff members. Damian explained his actions saying “They have spent just as much time away from their families. So they deserve it.” Not only does this show respect for the staff that helps them win games. This action brings the best out in them. He knows this will be effective in the long run. He has also mentioned that he intends to be in Portland for his entire career. By doing this he is planting his flag and showing he is in it for the long haul!
No matter your opinion on his career or skills – these actions show he is building a winning culture that will attract other players looking to be a part of something. Then eventually this winning culture will attract a championship. Either way, this is the wake up and win mentality. So we at Revive Brand Co. Salute that!
